My work is a personal expression of my interests, background and lifestyle.
Living on a moorland farm and being a passionate horse breeder and environmental conservationist has influenced my practice while still retaining calming feelings of the natural world
Emotion & experience in every detail
Contrasting my home environment, I am drawn away from the natural world by the bright lights of nearby towns and cities illustrated in my urban landscapes.
My influences are wide-ranging and encompass the great artists such as Gustav Klimt, Edgar Degas and Vincent Van Gogh to contemporary artists such as Paul Kenton, Christian Hook, Alvaro Castagnet and Jean Haines, with a keen interest in prehistoric art inspired by a visit to caves in France many years ago
